We have an older home, built in the 1950's. There are many little charming details about our home and then there are other things, like our tiny bathroom, that I would love if they weren't so "charming" - aka, small.
However, although it's small, the bathroom works for us and I love that it takes me no time at all to clean the bathroom! (small blessings, when I have TONS of other things I need to be spending my time on.)
One thing I use to clean our bathroom, is a super simple, DIY soft scrub to get our tub and sinks sparkling. There are no chemicals to this soft scrub, which means that our small bathroom won't be filled with toxic fumes as I am scrubbing away. No face masks or plastic gloves necessary either, because again, no chemicals! And the best part of this soft scrub, is that it works. So well.
The ingredients list is simple:
• 3 cups Baking Soda
• 3/4 cup of Thieves Household Cleaner
• 1 tbsp Distilled White Vinegar
• 30 drops of Young Living Lemon essential oil
All you have to do is grab a glass bowl. Combine all the ingredients together. It will be the texture of a paste. Store it in an-tight container or jar. This paste is best to be used within three months.
I like to sprinkle the areas that need a little bit extra TLC and let it sit for a little bit. I then grab the little scrub brush that I keep in the bathroom and scrub the area that needs to be clean in the tub. I then rinse it with water and admire the sparkling clean tub!
You can use this paste anywhere that needs heavy-duty scrubbing power.

Outdoor furniture.
Kitchen sink.
Outside siding.
